Change can only happen where the mind strives towards it. The fashion and textile industry has been grappling with the challenge of sustainability for many years. With insights from fashion design studies, the industry has come to recognise the significant impact of its activities on climate change. Each purchase has far-reaching consequences that many people are unaware of, which has led to the decision to focus a bachelor’s thesis on making sustainability more accessible. While some industries are making progress in sustainability, the fashion industry still has some way to go.
The mission is to increase awareness of sustainability in the textile industry. The project frank. aims to encourage people to recognise and accept their responsibility towards our planet. frank. means being open, honest, and straightforward, even if it’s uncomfortable, especially when discussing critical issues like the climate crisis.
